LEADERSHIP SEMINAR FOR SHS PENSA

“This is a true saying if a man desires the office of a bishop (leader), he desires a good work. A bishop (leader) then must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach. 1 Timothy 3:1-2”

Praise be to our God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has been gracious and merciful to us. The leadership seminar begun at 9:00 am at The Church of Pentecost Bompata Central auditorium. In attendance was Pastor Seth Ofei Badu, Elder Fidelis Yeboah, T.I Ahmadiya students, K.T.I students and Kumasi Polytechnic executives of Pensa. There was a time of worship, praise and thanksgiving.
The first talk was led by Elderc Fidelis Yeboah on the topic: LEADERSHIP WITH STUDIES. We discussed what makes a good leader, having vision for one’s life. Below are some points that were raised: A good leader:

·        Sees beyond the present and doesn’t rush
·        Pursues the goal congruence and is not selfish
·        Has a heavy emphasis on visions ,values and motivation
·        Doesn’t compromise on core values
·        Develops and has strong people skills
·        Doesn’t oppose  change in the  positive way
·        Guides and develops activities of others and continually trains others.

A leader is one with a dream or vision. In achieving a dream, handwork, determination, perseverance and consistency are required. A man without a vision is dead and as child of GOD in leadership one must have a vision. The greatest strategy to befall a man is to have sight without vision. The second talk was on the TENETS of the church where we discussed into details the impact of this on the church and its members.

Other matters:

Leaders and members were advised to be mindful of how the handle relationships on campus. Again we were advised to down on the meeting hours and spend time with our books for that is the reason why we are in school. Some questions that were raised were also answered to the satisfaction of all.
The seminar finally came to a close at 3:00 pm with Pastor Seth Offei-Badu giving the closing prayer and benediction. We thank God for a successful and educative seminar.
